Harley Muffler Exhaust
Auto parts and accessories
An extremely important part of the machinery is the brake system. Having a good brake system ensures that your vehicle can be well maneuvered in all kinds of weather, on different terrains, making all the difference between safe and unsafe driving. Brakes systems available today are known for their stability and improved heat monitoring, reducing friction and increasing performance. Unlike parts available earlier, most of these brake systems come in appealing quality and colors that go well with your automobile. Brake pads, solid rotors, steel brake lines… the list is endless. Be it drum brakes, disc brakes or power brakes, be assured that you would definitely be able to find something as per your liking. It makes sense to invest in good performance accelerator and clutch parts too. Accelerator controls and cables of various kinds are also easily available and you can choose what's best for your model. Cutting edge technology used for clutch kits greatly increases your ride's performance.
Having an effective exhaust system also plays a major role in the efficiency of your vehicle. Unless you're a die-hard Harley Davidson fan and want your car to sound the same, you wouldn't want to strut around without a muffler for your exhaust system. With backpressures and other kinds of mufflers, it becomes easy to reduce noise as much as possible. Catalytic converters in newer engines have made it possible to reduce pollution by refining the exhaust before it leaves your car. Laws passed by the federal government have made it mandatory for engine manufacturers to conform to certain rules and regulation in order to reduce emissions.

Annoying Loud Motorcycle Exhausts and EPA
Freedom is good until and unless it is not harmful to others. I personally am also a motorcycle rider and like to enjoy a full of thrill ride. Yet, I'm in the favor of EPA laws. EPA or Environmental Protection Agency is an independent federal agency that works to reduce pollution and is aimed at protecting environment. EPA has also made some regulations based on laws passed by the govt. on loud sounds produced by Motorcycle Exhausts. These laws are implemented in different states and if a motorcyclist is found to violate these laws, he is charged with fines. These regulations are different for different states and same is the case with the fine amounts.
In most of the states, the standard for the noise emission is 80db. On crossing this limit, the motorcyclists are charged with fines. In some other states, this limit is 84db, 90db or 100db. To enforce EPA regulations in different states, motorcyclists are required to label their Motorcycles with EPA labels representing that their motorcycle sounds are EPA-compliant.
In many states, EPA laws require a motorcycle exhaust system that is EPA compliant. In these states, modifications in the form of cutouts, or some alterations in the baffles or other motorcycle parts that can amplify the motorcycle sounds are not allowed.
‘Plainly audible standards' is the measure that helps the law and enforcement authorities to measures the noise level and then work accordingly. According to this measure, Motorcycle Exhausts' sound is clearly audible from a certain distance that is different for different states. Similarly, aftermarket motorcycle exhausts not fulfilling the criteria of noise related laws are prohibited in many states.
Motorcycle riding can be enjoyed even by remaining in limits where motorcycle exhaust sounds are not annoying for ears. Laws are made for our protection and we should follow them.
Get EPA-complaint motorcycle exhausts and enjoy a ride free of fines.
