Ultra-Efficient, Luminous and Soft LED Panle Grow Lights for Plants

Extreme energy efficiency permits this new LED panel lights to pay for itself many times over each year in electricity savings. It saves 50% to 90% in energy consumption compared to incandescent bulbs or fluorescent tubes. Wide angle projection insures uniform leaf coverage. Scientifically calculated even blending of red and blue LEDs eliminates the time consuming task of repositioning separate colored lights back and forth trying to achieve uniform exposure.

Product Features

  • Body material: Thermoplastic
  • Circuitry board material: Diecast Chrome
  • 60 Blue light LEDs: 465nm (nanometer) wave length
  • 165 Red light LEDs: 650nm (nanometer) wave length
  • 165 + 60 = Total 225 LEDs

This is a great light for seedlings and young plants when placed about 3" above. It covers a one foot square area in my indoor greenhouse.

It is not enough light to sustain heavy vegetative growth in vegetables but it gives them a terrific start. I'm replacing this with a 90W UFO type light for further growth and will use this fixture for germination in future.

It does help to do some research before starting to garden indoors with LEDs. I've found it advisable to keep an incandescent clip fixture along with this fixture to provide warmth.

It would take three of these bi-band panels to equal the power of one 45 watt Quad-band and still be deficient in bandwidth.Considering the LED panels are only 14 watts and generate only 400 lumens, they're really not powerful enough to support the energy needed for the flowering process but if used in tandem with multiple LED panels, or as support lighting for another lighting , they can deliver the power you need.

Racking Up Your Hauling Capabilities with Truck Racks

Professional contractors and weekend DIYers both know one construction truism: the more your rig can haul, the more profitable your time becomes. There are a number of truck racks that provide quick and durable storage for your rig, maximizing your available space to provide the safe and convenient transportation of materials.

The addition of a ladder rack is unquestionably the best upgrade you'll ever make to the bed of your rig. Whether you're hauling a run-of-the-mill 6' household ladder or an industrial 12' ladder, odds are it won't safely fit into the bed of your truck. Sure, you could prop it between some of your gear, say a few hail-Marys and hope for the best. Or, you could simply add a truck ladder rack. Ladder racks prevent the unintended launching of ladders when you make a quick stop and also keep them from flying through the windshield of the guy behind you when you gun it off the line.

Safety aside, truck racks compartmentalize the bed of your truck, enabling you to carry far more without having to jockey things around to fit everything in. Each one boasts a cab-covering cantilever, maximizing every possible square inch of your rig's roof space. In addition, ladder racks are also ideal for transporting piping, carpet rolls, and rebar, easily accommodating between 500 – 1,200 lbs.

Each ladder rack is custom-designed for a true fit onto your specific make, model and year. And, it mounts securely onto your bed rails for fast installation and easy removal, making them the ideal upgrade for the at-home mechanic of any skill level.

OK, so you've got everyone else on the road protected with your truck rack—now it's time to think about yourself. Prevent a ladder from lancing through your truck's back window (and decapitating you in the process) with a headache rack. Appropriately titled, they prevent a ladder from forcing its way through the glass and into the cab when you make a sharp turn or stop short.

Forged from 1.9"-thick, 16-gauge steel tubing, headache racks are built to take abuse. Many feature pre-drilled, 90 degree-angled feet that double bolt onto both the top and inside of your bed rails for added strength and resilience. They come in a number of finishes, including a duplex nickel chrome-plated finish or a professional black powder coating, to complement your finish and provide a rugged, don't-mess-with-me attitude. Most importantly, they won't block your rear view—in fact, they actually enhance your view because the angled louvers block the sun, not your field of vision.

A ladder rack is one of the easiest and most affordable add-ons to your rig, quickly making up for its cost in the time and money it saves you.
